Hurry by life's streaming tide,
Set your eyes upon a fatal scene
Comprising our hopes and dreams beside.
Such fate is our mind's queen,
Ruling our emotions and our thoughts
With supremity of authority. Merciless
But just, she apportions our lots
According to the wrongs we won't redress.
So, who is the king of our hearts and minds? It is knowledge.
To know a thing is to have sway over,
And to rule it.
Knowledge is a somber pledge
Between percept and percipient, united as lovers,
Being, thought and time are carried within the mind,
They are the keys, so truly hard to find.
